The ‘Aadi Shakti Sangeet Kala Kendra’ started its musical journey from Patna in 2006 under the tutelage of Shri Janardan Pandey. The objective was to preserve and promote the richness of Indian classical music and dance.
Classical music that was a part of every household in this country had begun to lose it popularity and western influences had slowly started making way into the hearts of our Indian audiences. In an attempt to make classical music available to every household, Shri Janardan Pandey decided to sow a seed which led to the birth of Adi Shakti Sangeet Kala Kendra in the year 2006; a small step towards the realization of a larger dream. Shri Janardan Pandey set an example by making his sons, Shri Amit Kumar, Shri Ankit Kumar and Shri Atit Kumar musicians of great calibre and skill. He wanted to provide them exposure to knowledge and hence in additon to teaching them at home, he also sent to other great Gurus to gain knowledge in music.
They have learnt music under the tutelage of various Gurus; Pt.Shri Gagndayal Pandey, Pt.Birju Maharaj, Shri Suresh Wadkar.His family now works in unison towards achieving a common dream. His family has seen very many challenges in this journey but they have weathered the storms together to reach unprecedented heights. Their strengths lie in their shared vision and unity.
ASSKK, the academy that made a humble beginning in the year 2006 is today proud to have over 6 branches in 3 locations; Patna, Mumbai and Dubai. In 2011 the academy spread its wings to Mumbai, the city that shapes dreams. 2015 was another landmark year for ASSKK. The fame of the academy had spread so wide that there was demand for ASSKK from international shores. ASSKK established its first international branch in Dubai, UAE in November 2015.
